Richard Lighthouse - Shards of Silence
|
shards of silence fall around us,
yet we never gather them.
there is blue silence
and a red silence here
by her feet.
we are reck less.
in noise less gestures of
absence, they fill
our house slowly, like sacred
objects.
growing larger.
heavier. until .no longer.
can we move them. their sharp edges
cut at our being.
we polish these silences.
dance around them, consuming
our transparent lives until
we no longer care.
even in old age
we refuse their image
forgetting
they ever appeared.
