Poetry & Art of the Intelligently Erotic
Issue 3.0
Michael Estabrook -Like Icarus
you pressed
yourself into me,
your body
with those firm luscious curves,
your arm,
the side of your chest,
your thigh,
the fullness of your hip.

& I pressed back
standing stiff
holding my breath
wanting
to look at your face,
into your soft brown eyes;
wanting
to breathe you,
the pure essence of you,
into me.

wanting
but daring not,
fearing
the moment
was an illusion,
a mere bubble floating up
in the trees
towards the sun.
