Submissions:
Please note, our submission guidelines have recently changed. In celebration of
our next issue, #25, we will begin publishing bi-annually (twice a year) rather
than quarterly. This will allow me time and resources to be able to offer print
publication as well as online. Not to mention time for my own personal
projects that have been neglected for too long. Submissions from the
remainder of 2010 and those currently in hand will be considered for the next
issue, due out July 2011.
Summer/Fall Issue: January 1 - April 1 (Published in July)
Fall/Winter Issue: July 1-October 1 (Published the following January)
What to do:
Send 5 poems max. and a short bio if you want to include one. Include your
poems in the body of the message or better as a single Word file.
Please copy and paste this statement in your email to us:
"I am the author of the enclosed work, am at least 18 years of age, and this
work is not under consideration elsewhere."
Email to: mastodondentist@shoemusicpress.com
Include your physical or mailing address as well.
What not to do:
No simultaneous submissions. Must be 18 years old to submit. If it looks
like you are copying and pasting our email address and mass mailing out
your submission, your work will not be read. If it otherwise shows you
have not read the guidelines, your work will not be read.
You will receive an automated response letting you know we have received
your submission.
